Introduction of antibody

Antibody is a Y-shaped protein produced by the immune system that functioned as essential components of the body’s defense mechanism against pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances. They recognize and bind to specific antigens (foreign molecules) with high specificity. Owing to its specificity, many antibody drugs have been developed and used over 40 years.
Antibody drugs are engineered to target specific antigens found on the surface of cells, providing highly specific treatment options for various diseases, including cancers, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases. The function of common antibody drug is by binding to the antigen to block the function of a protein essential for the disease’s progression

The Bi-functional antibody :
a powerful engager

CytoArm designed a special bi-functional antibody (BsAb) that can engage two different targets simultaneously. One arm of the BsAb antibody will binds to a T-cell receptor (typically CD3) on cytotoxic T cells, while the other arm binds to a specific antigen on the surface of a target cancer cell. This dual binding brings the T cells into close proximity with the cancer cells, facilitating direct cell-mediated cytotoxicity and destruction of the cancer cells.

Destruction
The T cells release cytotoxic granules that induce apoptosis in the cancer cells.

CytoArm’s BsAb:
potential for limitless drug development

CytoArm holds comprehensive patents for our bispecific antibody-armour platform.

We could generate nearly limitless antibodies through changing the tumor-targeting part of our BsAb.
By providing our BsAb, CytoArm could functioned as great collaboration partner with all T cell therapies.
